The run takes place in the shadow of the NY State Capitol and City Hall in the heart of downtown Albany. The venue features a spacious start and a gradual downhill finish surrounded by beautiful urban parks and beautiful New York State architecture.

Join the fun at the annual Capital Kids 3K Run! This 1.86-mile road race is designed to promote an active, healthy lifestyle for youth girls and boys ages 6-14. It begins on Washington Avenue in Downtown Albany. This event offers awards.

The Kids’ Run is a series of free mini road races, ranging in distance from 50 meters to 1 mile. The Kids’ Run is open to children between 3 and 10 years of age. Kids receive a t-shirt and a box of Freihofer's® Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Over 10,000 people will attend our annual free Health and Fitness Expo at The Armory at Russell Sage College on New Scotland Road. The Expo offers family-friendly health & fitness products, activities & information.

The Training Challenge prepares you to run in the Run for Women 5K. We offer a beginner program for those who are new to running (walk, run/walk or run/walk transitioning to run) as well as intermediate and advanced opportunities for experienced runners.
